FULL FESTIVAL PARTICIPATION  

​

The festival begins on Tuesday, August 1st with the check-in in the morning, then the ateliers and opening concert in the evening.

Full Festival participation is 5 full days (6 nights for the foreign participants) from August 1st to 6th, plus 1 extra night if you choose optional extension and the possibility to extend the stay further or arrive earlier for tourism, with accommodation and meals included in the package.

Optional extension (self-financed): trip to tourist sites on Sunday August 6th and the possibility to do a game drive on before flying back home in the evening or visiting other parts of Cameroon. Details will be available soon.

The festival is open to choirs, groups of singers as well as individual singers and conductors and others interested in choral singing, from Cameroon, from other African counties and from other parts of the world.

You can experience the full festival with all ateliers programme and concerts.

 

As Participant choir  

Ateliers : You can choose among  7 Ateliers for youth and adults and 1 "Juniors Space" for children and teenagers organized with the "Amis du Choeur Madrigal du Cameroun Academy scheduled in the morning and the conductor can choose to attend the parallel Programme for Conductors and Composers. After rehearsing new music together with singers from other choirs and countries every morning during the festival, you will present the results of the Ateliers in a final concert on Saturday afternoon August 5th.

Concerts : You can attend Open singing and all the festival concerts. In addition you can perform in the afternoon Concert Programme on presenting your own repertoire. If you want to perform more than once, we can offer further performance opportunities.

NB : Only choirs that apply before February 28, 2023 will be guaranteed a place in an atelier.

 

As individual

Ateliers : As singer you can choose among 7 Ateliers for youth and adults and 1 "Juniors Space" for children and teenagers organized with the "Amis du Choeur Madrigal du Cameroun Academy  scheduled in the mornings. After rehearsing new music together with singers from other choirs and countries every morning during the festival, you will present the results of the Ateliers in a final concert on Saturday August 5th, with a rehearsal before and performance at the closing ceremony in the evening.

Conductors, composers, choral managers and others interested in the topics can attend the parallel Programme for Conductors and Composers.

Concerts : You can attend Open singing and all the festival concerts.

NB : Only those who apply before February 28, 2023 will be guaranteed a place in an atelier.

DAY-BY-DAY PARTICIPATION

You do not have time to attend the full festival or you cannot afford it ? You just want to book You can also register for one or a few days. You can attend morning ateliers or the programme for conductors and composers, Open Singing and all the festival concerts.

In this case, you will have to arrange your own accommodation. About meals, you can either arrange it yourself or buy tickets at the Festival restaurant.

One-day tickets can be purchased in advance from April 2023 or directly on the morning of your participation.
