Jean-Marie Puissant

Jean-Marie Puissant is a French conductor. Singer, he has done many concerts under the direction of Herreweghe, Christie, Corboz, Boulez, Barenboim, Gardiner, Nagano, Bertini, abbado, Giulini ... He studied the direction of the choir with Ericson, then the orchestral direction with Werner in France, as well as with Hügler, Rouits and Karabtchewsky in Switzerland, Hungary and Italy.

He is musical director of the Choir Variatio, Choir Nicolas de Grigny and Allegri Soloists Ensemble.
He has directed the Orchester National de l'Ile de France, the Mulhouse Orchestra, the Savaria Symphony in Hungary, the Philharmonie de Lorraine, the Orchester de la Sorbonne in Paris, the Orchester Colonne, the Orchester Lamoureux , Les Muses Galantes, Sainte Cécile Academy, in a wide range of opera works, such as Carmen, Faust, West Side Story, Dido and Aeneas, Pygmalion, various musicals by Bernstein, Joubert, Gershwin, as well as sacred music, baroque and contemporary works.

He was responsible for the preparation of the choirs of the Reims Opera: Die Zauberflote, La Traviata, Falstaff and Tosca.
